Official Biography

You would be hard-pressed to find many young artists with a list of achievements as memorable as those cherished by young singer Anastasia Lee. With over 7 MILLION VIEWS on YouTube, the recent high school graduate, from Green Bay, Wisconsin, can already recount stories about performing live with global pop star Josh Groban, performing for the President, and winning an International TV singing competition held in Romania. As her first single release, Anastasia recorded Taylor Swift’s “Safe & Sound” in Italian (“Sano e Salvo”) as a way to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a cause near and dear to her heart. To her surprise ,the song topped #1 on the Best Seller Charts on Amazon in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom and Japan. Anastasia also had the privilege to perform for President Trump not once but twice and at both of these events, she was photographed by multiple Pulitzer Prize winning photographers and was even included in a CNN special.

Anastasia performs songs from many different genres including adult contemporary, easy listening, folk, musical theatre, foreign hits, classic rock, classic pop, oldies, country, jazz, religious, and of course classical. Having an interest in so many genres and a willingness to broaden her own musical horizons has given Anastasia an opportunity to challenge herself in several ways. She admits to pushing the envelope further than many other independent CC artists in that her music includes songs from nine musical genres performed in nearly a dozen different languages. Also in 2016, a new female vocal trio was born. Tre Principesse – originally composed of Anastasia Lee, Agne G., and Tatiana Marie, is a group containing three uniquely distinct voices from across the genres of classic music. In June 2016, they started a GoFundMe Campaign to “Fan Fund” their first professional album. The campaign met it’s goal a few months later and in 2017 the album was completed. One week after the album’s release, it debuted at #2 on the Official Classical and Classical Crossover Billboard Music Charts, making Anastasia, Tatiana, and Agne, Billboard Charting Artists. A huge feat for any singer in any genre, let alone three young girls who are as of yet, independent artists. In 2018 Agne G. decided to leave the group due to scheduling conflicts and creative differences, so stay tuned… because the newest member of TRE PRINCIPESSE will be announced soon.

Anastasia admires artists such as Elvis Presley, Julie Andrews, Robert Goulet, Patsy Cline, The Carpenters – fellow Contralto Karen Carpenter, The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Andrea Bocelli, Andre Rieu, Ritchie Valens, Paul Mauriat, Selena Quintanilla, Bing Crosby, Don Mclean, Sarah Brightman, Eddie Vedder, Demis Roussos, Jo Stafford, Kathryn Grayson, Billy Joel, the Russian Red Army Choir, Simon & Garfunkel, and many, many more.

Anastasia also has a great deal of admiration for global recording artist Josh Groban. You can imagine her surprise in 2011 when Josh asked her to join him on stage for a duet during a show at the Resch Center in Wisconsin. Anastasia was only 14-years-old at the time and the video of her and Groban singing ‘To Where You Are’ quickly became a YouTube sensation, since then it has accumulated over 5 million views.

Two years later in 2013, Anastasia was selected to represent the United States in the international TV singing competition known as Music For Kids. To take part in the competition, Anastasia had to spend a week in Romania where she was matched up against talent from across Europe. The competition, which was televised in Europe, was judge by twenty music professionals from around the globe. It ended with Anastasia Lee being named Grand Champion of her division. In 2016 Anastasia was invited back to Romania as a Celebrity Guest Judge for the same TV show and she was joined in Romania by her sister, Tatiana Marie, and their musical friend, Agne G., as the latter two were competitors on the show.
Anastasia graduated from Ashwaubenon High School (Class of 2016) with High Honors and made it in the Local, State, & National Honor Societies. Anastasia is currently a sophomore at St. Norbert College where she has made the Dean’s List. Even though traveling, performing, and being a full time college student demand a great deal of her time, Anastasia still makes it a point to continue learning about the music industry and what one must do to achieve success. She is a member of Music Industry Blueprint, an exclusive group of artists being mentored by former Taylor Swift manager Rick Barker (Nashville).

“Rick’s ideas and strategies on using social media to communicate with fans have been extremely beneficial. And learning about what a website should look like or be modeled after has been helpful as far as getting more Internet traffic,” says Anastasia.

“I have always been a softie for kids and they seem to love me as well. Seeing children having to deal with illnesses like cancer and other problems normally attributed to adults is, to me, devastating,” she explains. “Children shouldn’t have to worry about things like cancer. My mom had cancer when I was 13 and it was a really hard time for my entire family. Children having to go through the same thing is simply unacceptable and it puts so much stress and worry on their families.”

It is for those reasons that Anastasia decided that Children’s Healthcare would be an important cause to which she could draw attention. She is an active supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Other causes she supports include the Chaddy Mission School in Kenya, Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Foundation, St. Vincent De Paul, and Paul’s Pantry food pantry.
