Official Biography

Born in England, Karl discovered his ability to sing whilst appearing in his school production of Les Miserables. Karl shot to recent fame from appearing on the BBC One show The Voice singing the famous opera aria ‘Nessun Dorma’ to over 9 million viewers and receiving many standing ovations from all the coaches giving Rita Ora shivers rating his performance as “Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!” Karl made Sir Tom Jones final 8 out of a staggering 48,000 people who auditioned for the show.

Prior to his TV success Karl trained at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting receiving a full scholarship. Karl has since been mentored by the legendary Sir Tom Jones.

With over 1 Million Youtube hits, thousands of twitter followers and a devoted fan base of all ages Karl has performed in various parts of the world in Theatre Productions, Proms Events, Orchestras and his own sell out Concerts.

Some of the venues Karl has performed at include The Theatre Royal Drury Lane for the Laurence Olivier Awards, Du Arena (Abu Dhabi) Belgrade Theatre (Coventry), Birmingham Rep, The Pheasantry (London), De Montfort Hall (Leicester) Yvonne Arnaud Theatre (Guildford) Glasgow City Hall and The Grosvenor House Hotel in London as well as luxury Cruise Ships and many other theatres and concert venues throughout the UK

Karl is heard regularly in interviews and live singing sessions on several regional radio stations. He recently sung his original song ‘Everything I Am’ on BBC Radio Scotland with The Glasgow Philharmonia Orchestra. The same Orchestra that recorded Karl’s new album titled ‘Everything I Am’ featuring songs such as ‘Bring Him Home, Nessun Dorma’ and Mario Lanza’s ‘Be My Love’ as well as putting his own spin on classic pop songs such as ‘Unchained Melody’and the Elton John classic ‘Your Song’. Karl’s album was recently made album of the week by Chris Needs on BBC Radio Wales.
