New Releases with Giorgia Fumanti and Hollie-Anne Clark

We were delighted to feature Giorgia Fumanti and Hollie-Anne Clark in an episode of our video podcast on New Releases.

Cinema Collection

Giorgia is an Italian-born soprano who has released thirteen albums on various labels, including EMI and Universal. Her voice has been heard millions of times on physical and streaming devices.

On her latest release, Giorgia once again teamed up with five-time producer Stefano Galante. Together, she tells us, “Every song takes on a new skin… he knows my voice very well. And he knows what I love, so he is able to bring a very different and unique touch to every song. You can still recognize the original melody because they are so beautiful you cannot change them, but we also bring our touch. I’m very happy with this last album where you can find classical beautiful songs like ‘When You Wish Upon a Star,’ ‘Take My Breath Away,’ ‘Calling You,’ ‘Once Upon a Time in the West,’ ‘Over the Rainbow,’ and ‘Love Is A Many Splendored Thing.'” Giorgia shares that it is one of her favorite albums so far because of the memories it brings. “I saw these movies when I was young, living in Italy. At the time, I didn’t even know that I wanted to become a singer and I didn’t even know that I had a voice. So it’s just like traveling in time through these memories and now being able to record this music and make them eternal in my way. It’s a special, special gift to be able to be timeless with this wonderful music.”

I Am What I Am

Hollie-Anne is a British soprano with a background in Musical Theatre and Opera and released her first album “Pure Imagination” last year (read our review HERE). We look forward to featuring Hollie-Anne again this summer in our virtual concert series.

“I’ve always loved big anthems and this is like a musical theater 11 o’clock number at the end of the show, it’s a really strong anthem type of song. And it’s taken on other meanings when it’s been performed by famous singers like Shirley Bassey.” Hollie-Anne recalls hearing the song again recently on an advertisement and decided it was time to put her own stamp on the song. She released a special video to support the single that is a beautiful collaboration with different people: her partner, dancers, students. “I’m all about promoting diversity.. I hope that it’s taken on its own kind of originality with me that it doesn’t sound like I’ve done somebody else’s version, I wanted to make it my own version.”
