Paul Ettore Tabone releases “Shallow” with Natalie May Paris

Classical Crossover tenor Paul Ettore Tabone recently announced that he would be reprising his role as Ubaldo Piangi in the Sydney Harbour production of “The Phantom of the Opera.”  Additionally, Paul has been releasing new music including “Creep” and now “Shallow” a collaboration with Natalie May Paris. Natalie May Paris who Paul describes as his “friend and West End belting Queen” is famous for originating the role of Jane Seymour in the Musical, “Six.”

In His Own Words

This is a beautifully written song. When I first was able to hear this song during the film, I fell in love. I especially love everything that Lady Gaga stands for when it comes to equality and as a homage to teamed up with the wonderful Natalie May Paris to create something special. As I have said before, I am extremely passionate about inspiring young people to appreciate opera buy using popular music performed in an operatic way. This arrangement by Paulina Derska allows just this.

The song has many natural crescendos but one that I focused on was that before “I’m off the deep end” which really lends itself to that huge orchestral sound.

The song itself is arranged by Paulina Derska who is an exceptional young artist and arranger. Maxime Obadia, who mixes and masters all of my music did the recording, mixing, and mastering, and it was produced by the Grammy Award-nominated Robin A Smith.
