Classical Crossover Magazine Launches Exciting New Music Competition: Classical Crossover Star 2023

Classical Crossover Magazine, the premier source for classical crossover music news and features, is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated launch of its newest venture, the Classical Crossover Star 2023 music competition. This virtual competition aims to discover and promote exceptional talent in the classical crossover genre, providing a platform for aspiring artists to showcase their skills and gain recognition.

The competition is open to instrumental and vocal artists providing a platform for undiscovered musicians across various languages and musical styles to come together and celebrate the beauty of blending classical and contemporary elements.

“We are incredibly excited to launch the Classical Crossover Star 2023 competition,” said Natasha Barbieri, the editor and creator of Classical Crossover Magazine. “Classical crossover music has gained immense popularity in recent years, and we believe it is vital to provide a platform that nurtures and showcases emerging talent in this genre.”

The Classical Crossover Star 2023 competition’s $500 USD cash prize will be sponsored by Key Clef Productions a Canadian based company who offer entertainment services for artists. The company’s founder Patrick Kimmell shared, “What a great idea… A competition for Crossover vocalists. This kind of competition is enjoyed by many artists throughout the music industry, and we are simply honored to sponsor this very first competition. We wish the best of luck to all the participants and may the voice be with you!”

The competition will feature 3 rounds designed to challenge participants and assess their musical abilities. Contestants will be judged by a panel of esteemed industry professionals, including Classical Crossover Magazine’s own network of experts as well as Gillian Riesen (President and Founder of Emitha LLC) and Stefania Passamonte (President of London Performing Academy of Music as well as a concert pianist and recording artist).

To participate in the Classical Crossover Star 2023 competition, applicants are required to submit their audition videos via the official competition website HERE. Submissions will be evaluated based on ability, stage presence, interpretation, and overall artistry. The deadline for submissions is July 30th, 2023. Auditions will be posted on the official Classical Crossover Magazine YouTube channel and the public is encouraged vote for their favorites in the comment section and by engaging with each entry. Creator of Classical Crossover Magazine. For Natasha music has always been closely tied to her faith. At age 18, Natasha made her opera debut playing the part of the mother in Menotti’s ‘Amahl and the Night Visitors’ with the Eastern Festival Opera. At 20, she was a winner of the 2011 Young Artist Competition at Andrews University. Natasha graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Music. Natasha has released a series of Holiday singles “A Place Called Home” (2020), “One Little Boy,” and “The Perfect Year” (2021). In 2021, she was nominated for the ‘Future Classic Women Awards’ show on Men’s & Women’s Radio Station. Natasha is the creator and editor of ‘Classical Crossover Magazine’ a venture that has allowed her to interview many of the top stars in the genre including Sarah Brightman, Celtic Woman, Mirusia, Paul Potts, and more. During the covid-19 pandemic, she created an online concert series for the magazine that has seen her perform in the same line-up as Alex Sharpe, Lucy Kay, Barbara Padilla, Classical Reflection, and more on the virtual stage. In 2022, Natasha was included on the charity album “Stars of Classical Crossover: Christmas” in benefit of the Wallace & Gromit Children’s Charity.
