Classical Crossover artists from three countries unite for online concert

Classical Crossover Artists from England, Ireland and the United States are all set to join our first-ever joint concert on Facebook Live this Sunday the 10th. It shows the power of music to cross boundaries even in these difficult times.

A little about the performers:

Natasha Hardy is a performer who has gained a loyal following with the release of her entirely self-composed album, “Lost in Love.”

Jay Dref studied music at the famed Julliard School and has since caught the ear of Grammy and Academy Award-nominee Stephan Moccio and producer Lauren Christy. He has recently released a new single entitled, “Drown.”

Margaret Keys was the first-ever female performer from Ireland to ever enter the Official Classical Charts with her album, ‘The Gift of Music.” Her impressive resume includes performing for the Pope Francis, HRH Prince of Wales and on popular television programs such as BBC’s Songs of Praise.

Nadia Eide has performed extensively in both opera and theater some credits include Queen of the Night in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” as well as modern classics “Grease.” She has been featured on BBC One’s hit TV show Pitch Battle and is also a part of the duo X-Over.

Chantelle Constable has been seen onstage in “West Side Story” and in the lead role of Fanny Brice in “Funny Girl” in regional theater. Her wide appreciation for different genres has seen her as a lead singer for a synth-rock band and part of the folk duo “Hotel Gypsies.”

Known as the “Wedding Singer” Gemma Turner has West End performances to her credit at The London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall along with a Nationwide Theater Tour. Today she continues to bring special moments as a solo artist and with the Bel Canto Sopranos.

Emer Barry started her career singing opera but has found great success as a crossover soprano. She has over 4 million views on streaming platforms and is a regular guest at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. She is also a founding member of the Irish trio “Affiniti”

Barba Padilla is an operatically trained soprano who came to national attention through “America’s Got Talent.” She has performed numerous opera roles (La Boheme, Turandot, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, La Traviata) and continues to be an in-demand soloist for symphonic and oratorio concerts.

Crystal & Natasha are a sister duo who began singing at a young age. They released two albums and gave numerous concerts in the US, NZ, and Ukraine. After several quiet years, they released an album in 2019 entitled, “The Sound of Home.”

Creator of Classical Crossover Magazine. For Natasha music has always been closely tied to her faith. At age 18, Natasha made her opera debut playing the part of the mother in Menotti’s ‘Amahl and the Night Visitors’ with the Eastern Festival Opera. At 20, she was a winner of the 2011 Young Artist Competition at Andrews University. Natasha graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Music. Natasha has released a series of Holiday singles “A Place Called Home” (2020), “One Little Boy,” and “The Perfect Year” (2021). In 2021, she was nominated for the ‘Future Classic Women Awards’ show on Men’s & Women’s Radio Station. Natasha is the creator and editor of ‘Classical Crossover Magazine’ a venture that has allowed her to interview many of the top stars in the genre including Sarah Brightman, Celtic Woman, Mirusia, Paul Potts, and more. During the covid-19 pandemic, she created an online concert series for the magazine that has seen her perform in the same line-up as Alex Sharpe, Lucy Kay, Barbara Padilla, Classical Reflection, and more on the virtual stage. In 2022, Natasha was included on the charity album “Stars of Classical Crossover: Christmas” in benefit of the Wallace & Gromit Children’s Charity.
