When life around us seems to be shattered and broken, even a momentary glitter of comfort, peace, and hope can renew our very being. To watch and listen to a new video, “Homeward Bound” by Agne G and Georgi Mottram brings the realization of such a moment. Although this song, composed by Marta Keen Thompson, has been outstandingly performed by many choirs, choruses, and individuals, this new video brings new life to its inspiring lyrics and melody.
Bringing together two outstanding sopranos has yielded a musical masterpiece. Their superb voices blend smoothly with each other while their harmonies are flawless giving richness and depth to their performance. When considering the fact that these two talented singers recorded from their homes on two different continents, it is even more amazing.
Just listening to this performance is a musical experience to be cherished but it is enriched even further by the video production. The interplay of Mark Fox’s photographs of Jersey’s (UK) natural beauty and Nemanja Skadarka’s photographs of the Chicago skyline with the singers’ images is expertly achieved. The editing was the work of Sandra Giedraitiene. It lives up to the highest standards of being classified as classical crossover and an inspiration in troubling times, “Homeward Bound” is well worth the time to view and be a part of one’s musical archive to view time and again.

These two extremely talented singers Agnes and Georgi closed the distance between Usa and UK – they’ve never met in person but the chemistry they displayed was breathtaking. A truly wonderful duet & I can’t wait to hear more from these beautiful girls.
